Hi, I’m wendy cooper owner and director of education for the hub and lead director of programs for promotion training systems, Inc. The corporate wellness side of our business and parent company to the hub. i’ve been in the health and fitness industry for 30 years!! it’s been path of exciting learning, amazing people, pain and injury (some of the time), and self-discovery. Lots of self-discovery! i invite you join myself and my amazing team of teachers and leaders on this path. when you’re ready to make real changes, we’ve got you!

30 years

I entered the fitness industry 30 Years ago terrified of what I'd seen in my Cardiac Rehab internship.  On a mission to share lifelong wellness through fitness and nutrition, so that fewer people would have to experience near death and cardiac rehab before beginning to live life to the fullest.

Corporate Health and Fitness

The focus of my career for the first 22 years was corporate wellness.  General Electric Plastics was where I met my husband, and followed him to the midwest.  ProMotion Fitness was born in 1994, and we've had the honor and privilege of working with many great clients here in the city!

The hub was built in 2013 with an intention to pull my lifework together under one roof. to be the center of the wheel around which a community of like minded people could gather. support and be supported. learn. adapt. grow.

Influenced

I believe that each individual teacher and business owner arrives at their message through their life story, and the great Teachers with whom they've been lucky enough to work with.   Dr. James Chamberlain (My Dad.  Professor, business owner, outdoor enthusiast), Dr. Donald Ross (Biology and Nutrition professor), Mark Santella (Director GE Plastics Fitness Center) , Steve Ilg (Wholistic Fitness.  Primary Teacher and Coach), Nikki Myers, Marsha Pappas (200 hour RYT/Y12SR), Matthew Sanford (Mindbody Solutions Adaptive Yoga), Dani Byrne McGuire (500 Hour RYT and Ayurvedic Yoga Therapy Teacher).

Injured

The Teacher that added our Corrective Movement mission came in the form of a well-earned injury. Ultimately all injury and chronic pain begins as an imbalance.  Our Corrective Movement work focuses on the how the brain and body operate together, establishing deep postural fiber strength which leads to improved balance, coordination, response times, and eliminates chronic pain.

The Hub incorporates Corrective Movement principles daily in both yoga and pilates formats.

ProMotion guides corporations to LESS pain and injury through nutrition, smart movement, and socially engaging incentives.
